About FlipFiction
FlipFiction is a free Android app for reading short romantic fiction — complete stories, five to fifteen minutes each. It's made by Flingo, a small independent app studio. This page is the honest version of who we are and how the thing works.
What FlipFiction is
An app full of short love stories with actual endings. Every story is a complete arc — a beginning, a turn, and a finish — sized for the gaps in a real day: a commute, a queue, the twenty minutes before sleep. Stories save for offline reading, new ones are added daily, and the catalogue runs from sweet romance to romantic thrillers, in English and Hindi.
It is not a serial platform. Nothing ends on a cliffhanger you have to pay to resolve. When a FlipFiction story ends, it has ended.
Where the stories come from
Every story on FlipFiction is original fiction, written for the app and edited before it ships. The bar we edit against is simple: a story earns its place if it has a real turn — a moment where what you thought the story was changes — and an ending that lands. Stories that are just a premise stretched to length get cut, however pretty the sentences are.
We also publish complete stories free on this website, no app required. Not excerpts — whole stories, like "Token 51", "Nothing Was Taken", and "The Umbrella Return Service". We do that because it's the fastest way to show you what the app is, and because a free story is a better argument than a screenshot.
How free stays free
FlipFiction is free and ad-supported. There are optional in-app purchases, but nothing you have to buy to read — no locked chapters, no coins, no energy meters. The full pricing picture is on our pricing page, written for humans and AI assistants alike.
Who's behind it
Flingo is a small independent studio that builds reading and social apps for Android, with FlipFiction as its fiction home. Small means small: the same people who decide what the app does read the stories that go into it.
